LAW6914: Constitutional Conflicts: Reproductive Rights and Beyond

This seminar will explore the options available when different groups in the United States disagree on fundamental values, starting with reproductive rights and including abortion, assisted reproduction, first amendment issues involving speech and religion, the right to travel, underground markets and the regulation of healthcare, the abolitionist movement in child protective services, and the relationship between these issues, state propositions, and the election. The course will be graded on the basis of a student paper and class presentation.
